INSPIRATION

Since graduating from undergrad, I have been working and making in the graphic design and craft worlds. And since I applied and got accepted into graduate school so close to the start of the school year, I haven't had much time to think about concepts and processes that I want to focus on at the start of the term (less than a week away!).

My work has always had a fair amount of aesthetic consistency through many different and mixed media, so I have a general idea of the aesthetic that I will produce. I decided that today I would look through the internet to find artists and pieces that inspire me either aesthetically or conceptually, and I wanted to share some of them here.

Do these images inspire you? All the images will click through to the original artist or page where I found the images, so feel free to explore more.

For me, I like the more organic shapes and edges, natural colors, and how you can feel the hand in all of these pieces. All evoke a sense of story and history that pulls me in deeper.

I'll continue to occasionally post images and artists that inspire me, so stay tuned for more!
